Blown valve plate or cylinder head gaskets

Cylinder head bolts not properly torque

a. Replace gaskets

b. Retorque cylinder head bolt

Liquid refrigerant flood back or flooded start

a. Remove excessive oil until maintained Between 1/8 to 3/8 up the sight glass.

b. On multiple compressor units, add mo. or barrel oil at any time. Verify proper operation of defrost system.

c. Increase superheat or replace valve

d. Correct problem or replace fan.

Liquid refrigerant flood back or flooded start

a. Correct piping

b. Do not allow more than 1/3 of system on defrost at any time. Verify proper operation of defrost system.

c. Increase superheat or replace valve

d. Correct problem or replace fan.
